M-Audio BX5a 5-inch BiAmplified Studio Monitor Speakers
From M-Audio

The BX5a refines our highly acclaimed BX5 near-field reference monitors, renowned for packing a lot of punch for their size. Our new 5 low-frequency driver cones are crafted from Kevlar, an extremely resilient material typically found in much more expensive monitors. Curved cone design coupled with high-temperature voice coils and damped rubber surrounds deliver incredible fidelity and durability. The 1 high-frequency drivers' magnetically shielded natural silk domes produce crisp top end while still being gentle on the ears. Integral cabinet and electronic engineering work together to deliver improved bass response. 70-watt bi-amped power and expertly tuned crossovers round out an incredible sounding pair of reference monitors with a footprint small enough to fit just about anywhere.

Outstanding Monitors5
I'm a producer/director/editor at a network television production company. We've used these M-Audio BX5a monitors in most of our edit bays for several years now and have been very pleased with their performance. They produce crisp, clear sound for voice, music and effects. They're solid, look nice and feature cool blue pilot lights on front between the woofer and tweeter.

Highly recommended for post-production audio.

Good sounding monitors!5
I think these speakers sound great. They have enough power (70 watts/monitor bi-amped) that they're punchy and tight. I haven't directly compared them to other monitors but I have enough listening experience that I think they'll compare favorably to any monitors in the same price range. For a smaller-size monitor these have quite a big, even sound.

Clean5
What ever audio you put in is what you get out. Nothing gets in the way with these speakers. Clean flat sound, I hear every low and high from these. They kick pretty well for their size.
