seem solid
I just got these and they seem to be good little speakers with good sound... The base will distort a little at max so just keep it about 3/4 and you are good to go. If you are looking for wake the people next door loud then keep looking but for my "C" shaped computer desk that have the speakers about 4' away for cds and games they are just what I was looking for.

Hercules Xps 2.1 Speakers
I searched all over the net for a good set of personal speakers to better the standard stock ones that came with my computer. I knew that Hercules had been around for awhile, but were not well known in the U.S. I had read somewhere that one of their speakers made some editor picks about one year ago, so I decided to give these Hercules Xps 2.1's a try. I was blown away! These little speakers put out about as much sound as my stereo system at the same clarity level! I watch Netflix movies on my tv with a wireless vga adapter that at times gives a faint hum. Now I simply turn the tv volume off and crank up the Hercules Xps 2.1. Now it's like I am at the theater with the great bass sounds that the sub-woofer makes! Try these Hercules Xps 2.1 speakers. For the money, you will not be disappointed!
