Key Features

Traditional desktop speakers focus sound in one listening “sweet spot”

Logitech 360-degree sound—hear everything, everywhere in the room
Most desktop speakers are designed to focus all their sound in only one direction. When you sit in the “sweet spot” directly in front of the speakers, the sound is good. But when you move out of that narrow sweet spot, the full tonal range of your music starts to thin out. That killer keyboard solo may become a bit muffled. Or those blazing power chords sound muddy.

Logitech 360-degree speakers project sound evenly in all directions for a full-room sweet spot

Logitech solves this audio dilemma with 360-degree sound technology. Unlike traditional speakers that use only a forward-firing driver, Logitech speakers are acoustically engineered with both forward- and backward-firing drivers. The sound is projected and reflected more evenly and over a wider range of space. So, your whole room becomes a sweet spot filled with clear, rich, balanced music—even if you're rocking out behind the speakers.

Ported, down-firing subwoofer delivers deep, rich bass
When it comes to feeling that full-on ka-boom in your favorite action movie or the driving bottom end of a Sting classic, it's all about the bass. The Speaker System Z323 delivers big, deep lows. The subwoofer's extra port and down-facing design produce the kind of rich, resonant bass that brings your music, movies and games to life.

On-speaker inputs for easy connections to your entertainment gear
Do you have other gear that could use a 360-degree sound improvement? Go ahead. Plug in your Logitech Squeezebox network music player, gaming console, iPod or DVD player. The dual RCA jack and 3.5 mm input make it a snap to turn your speaker system into a versatile entertainment powerhouse.

Convenient headphone jack lets you listen in private
Throwing a party in the living room or out back on the deck? The music part is covered. These small, lightweight speakers are easy to move to any room. Just bring your notebook to the party room, plug in the speakers, pick your playlist and start dancing.

30 watts of power gets the whole room rocking
Feel free to crank up the volume. With 30 watts (RMS) of power, your music will come alive with sound big enough to fill the room. And no matter what part of the room you're in, you'll hear every vocal line, keyboard chord and hi-hat hit in crystal-clear detail.

I received these speakers through the Amazon Vine program. I own a lot of Logitech products from webcams to notebook risers so I knew I was receiving a quality item.

Setting up the system took about five minutes and that was opening the box and plugging in the wires. I decided to try them out on my desktop computer. I placed the satellite speakers on the each of the monitor on my desk and the sub-woofer on the floor but raised it a bit on a small stand. The system was `plug n' play' and no software was needed.

I tested these out with watching videos on a well known video site. I watched TV/movie clips which came in very clear. I played a few music videos but found myself adjusting the bass level, which is at the back of the sub-woofer to find a comfortable level for listening. Once I found what I considered to be the right setting for me I decided to play some of my Amazon Video on Demand TV shows. I was very impressed with the sound quality. It is very clear and no interference whatsoever from any of the other devices I have in my office. Having the satellite speakers on the side of my desk I had full benefits of the `360' sound. It was nice not to have the sound directional but to be able to walk around and still hear the sound from the side very well.

I have been using these speakers for two weeks now and did not know what I was missing until I plugged these in. The speakers are very attractive as well with a nice shiny look to them. At the time of writing this review I cannot thing of one negative thing about these speakers. I would recommend these to someone looking for a great set of speakers without wanting to break the bank. I would also say these are great speakers for apartments or dorms since you can adjust the bass level on the sub-woofer. Logitech has done it once again with another quality product.

    Nice, but check-out the Z523's also4
I like this speaker system. . . but. . . I guess you could say that I'm "spolied" . . .becuase I also have the Logitech Z523 system on another computer. . .and there is one BIG difference. . ..and that is. .. on the Z523, the knob to control the bass is also on the right speaker, right below the regular volume knob. On this one, the Z323, the bass control knob is on the back of the subwoofer. I listen to different types of music/movies/videos from different sources, so I like to be able to control the bass, depending upon what I'm listening to. If you want to save a few bucks, and being able to control the bass on-the-fly is not an issue. . . then the Z323 is fine. But if you don't mind spending just a few bucks more, I would recommend the Z523. FYI, the z523 are 40-watt and the Z323 are 30-watt.

Either way though. . . these speakers bring a whole new pleasurable listening experience! If you're like me, and have only had eihter "basic" computer speakers, or a "basic" laptop speaker, then these little beauties blow those out-of-the-water! You'll "FEEL" the music! You'll "FEEL" the movie!

    Great for a dorm. . . apartment. . . office. . .etc. I LOVE them!
    Logitech Speaker System Z523 (Black)

Good sound but don't expect the subwoofer to do any damage to your windows!5
I've always had nice things to say about Logitech, it's one of the few brands that has never let me down, they make durable, high quality products and their customer service is great.

I received the package and immediately after opening it, I plugged everything that needed to be plugged within the package and within two minutes I was already hooking it up to my ipod, I selected the song with the most bass that I could think of, I will say that the subwoofer does it's job, it will let you know that there are some "booms" in your songs, but it will not blow you away! It's just a good smooth bass that comes out of that tiny subwoofer.
Sound clarity is nice too, both speakers give you great voice sound and other instruments are easy to hear as well.

I hooked the Z323 to my desktop and I was pleased with the sound, I wouldn't watch any movies on my computer using this system, it's good enough to sample your music and watch youtube, I just like my movies with a little more kick on the subwoofer department, but that's just a personal choice, they're still loud enough to please most people that are looking for a budget friendly speaker system.

I think that this set is best used with an MP3 player, cell phone or netbook'notebook, I ended up setting them, one speaker on each side of the bed and the subwoofer on the right hand side (yeah, that's my side of the bed ha ha) I was able to plug in several devices that I use on a daily basis and have better sound than what comes out of the stock speakers, it does magic for my netbook, it feels good to have solid sound coming out of that mini laptop!

Just like any other Logitech product, I highly recommend it, just keep in mind that you will be getting $60 worth of sound coming out of that system, don't expect it to match that 7.0 sorround sound system that you have setup in your living room.
